1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I LOVE it when an EBay seller innocently/unknowingly lists a pair of "Ralph Lauren" shoes that are actually EG/purple label shoes. These monkstraps are really stunning though -- I'm not surprised there are already 7 bids. This has to be one of the best looking monkstraps I've ever seen. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....hosting Nevertheless, as with most new EG's on EBay, I'd be surprised if the final price were over $400.

Note that the seller has the US sizing wrong: it's a UK 9.5, meaning that it's a US 10; not, as the seller has it, a 10.5.

They look like Walpoles on the 808 or 89 last in chestnut antique to me. Like you said, great shoes, and they seem likely to bring a good price.

Those were the days, when RLPL shoes were supplied in boxes covered with real purple cotton fabric. (Lovely for storing socks in.) Alas, RL has stopped using them and the current crop of shoeboxes are just covered in paper.

Equally the purple lining and the all-leather heals have gone.
