Can those with RLBL suits (specifically the Anthony) share with me how they fit relative to other suits they may have?

For example, would someone who typically wears a 36R buy the same size, or one-up to a 38R?

Thanks!

What's your body type? If you're thin than it would work. If you have a gut then don't bother. I tried the RLBL and it's not for me.

I normally wear a 36, and I've been able to try on RLBL in a 36. It was a little tight in the waist, but otherwise fit well. I definately don't have any sort of gut, so they are cut with generous amounts of waist suppression. If I sized up, the shoulders would definately be too big.

There's a thread with SF people pics with their RLBL. Some looked good and some looked bad. In order to get the RLBL look - you must be thin. It will not work on stocky, chunky, muscular, or fat - it works on thin people only.

I'm not thin and I accept it.

+1
I just bought an RLBL suit and am somewhat slender; 6'2" @ 165lbs. It fits me well. If you have large muscular thighs the suit is definitely not for you. Also, RLBL suits have a drop of 7 inches, so that's a 29" waist for you. On my suit (40l) there is enough material to let it out at least an inch, perhaps two, so that suit ought to be fine for you. This coming week RL is apparently having a 30% off sale, so I hope you can get a black label suit if you like it.

1+ Agreed. I think it looks best with few alterations.

RLBL by far the only RTW suit that I dont need to alter besides the hem and sleeve length

I workout but have a small frame given i'm asian.

5'10 @ 155lbs.... no gut

ideally i'd get to try on the suit prior to buying.. unfortunately no one in my city sells RLBL which makes this all but impossible.

thanks for the comments..

I'm the same specs as you. Normally I'm a 38R but I had to go to a 40. The jacket was perfect on me. Just had to have the waist taken in and the legs hemmed.

most likely a 38R, i have no idea why so many need to size up for RLBL, unless the cut doesnt work for them at all.

wait...damn...so an athletic 6'0'' 200 (45'' chest, 33'' waist) would not be good for RLBL. better suit companies for athletes?

I have a close build to what you posted at 5'10" 147lbs. Depending on the suit I vacillate between 38 and 36. For the RLBL, 38R is what worked. Only consideration I would have would be how broad your shoulders are.
