RL Polo vs. PL sizing suits/sport jackets

I wear a 48R in RL Polo (Corneiliani), and the fit is fine. Does anyone have an idea of how this would compare in Purple Label?

You should be the same size, the both run on the slimmer side of TTS. Some people have to size up for BL, but not for PL. The only exception I can think of are some of the Caruso pieces for PL that run small in the chest.

since the orginal post has been answered, can i ask a similar question?

polar, i thank you for your informative answers. do you know if black label /caruso is fully canvassed? and is it to your experience that the length of caruso/st. andrews run a bit short?

Black Label, except for the first half of season 1 (so I hear), is fully canvassed. I've yet to see a half-canvassed Caruso garment in general, but they may exist. The length of the PL items does vary, and it's not always according to the maker. In general, the Caruso ones may be a bit shorter than the St. Andrews pieces, but there are exceptions.

Don't be suprised if you need to size up in RLPL if you wear a 48R in PRL.
The padded shoulders and smaller (higher) armhole of RLPL may be too restrictive for you. . .
