I'm surprised? no one has an idea as to who/what factory might be making these?

I'd like to know as well. They look nice. I'd like a sleeker longwing.

I think this board is too obsessed with who's creating what for RL.

Anyone actually seen the shoes themselves irl?

Also, I know it wouldn't be their usual modus operandi, but could they be moving manufacturing in house?

I disagree. It gives you an idea of the quality and styling. RL stuff is all over the place. Some stuff is cheap, other stuff is nice. The maker lets you know where it falls. Also, you can't judge by RL's MSRP. Notice how they can't give away the Italian shoes for $250.

Understood but even then, quality can still differ depending on RL's specs. I'd much rather have discussions from people who've seen the goods instead of just blindly speculate on who the maker is and making judgments off of that. Take for instance the PRL dress shirts with the script labeling. They're made in China just like their lower end stuff, but are very nicely made and at $135 retail and often on sale even for staple colors, are one of the best values for dress shirts out there.

1) Does AE manufacture for anyone else? If so, who?
2) Where is the factory - port washington?
