It differs A LOT! IMHO, the Jerome is one of the sexiest, most stylish cuts RL has come out with in 2 decades. The fit is similar to the old Polo 1 and Polo DB's from the mid-late 80's. Very tailored fit, high armholes, narrow sleeves, nipped at the waist, high-waisted trouser, etc. with extremely attractive shoulder work......cigarette rolls at the seam. Working buttons holes as well.

If you admire the Fred Astaire fit from the 30's, you'll love the Jerome model. But you have to be in excellent shape. A 42L fits me just a tad tight but the 44L looks dowdy onn me like most of his crap does these days. 43L would probably be ideal on me but that would require a special order.

My store has a 42L SB black bead stripe on sale for $920, down from $2,250.

I think he means that the Jerome model is a Polo Ralph Lauren blue label jacket, fully canvassed, and made in Italy by Cantarelli. I have one in cashmere, and I agree with the previous assessment that it is a trimmer-fitting model with high armhole, narrow sleeves, and nipped waist.
