RL Deller - Good deal at $400?

Anyone have any ideas about the quality / construction of the RL Dellers?

Is it Silvano Sesseti (sp) who makes them? I know there was some discussion about this before but I don't think it was conclusive...

The RRP is obviously way over-priced at $1,100 but it looks a good shoe for this price.

Also is that hand-stitching under the cap-toe?

They're actually not *that* pointy. They look fine in my size (UK 7.5). Possibly in larger sizes they look too sleek?

Can't comment on the quality except to say that I bought a pair of Italian-made RLPL elastic-gore loafer and I love them. I've worn them approximately every other week for 1-2 years and they look as good as new. Also, the Deller appears to be hand-stitched under the toe cap and parallel to the laces.

I've seen and handled the Deller in person and it's a gorgeous shoe..............get 'em!
