This is the worst tie I have ever purchased. The thin end of the tie is way to thick, and makes tying awkward. It's very short so you can't do much with them in terms of knots. Also, there is still a crease in the silk from the first time I tied it. Stick to Polo or Purple Label if you want RL ties.

FWIW, I completely disagree.

I love the thin/not too thin width of the tie, and it ties a great FIH with a nice dimple. I'm a tall guy (6'3") and there's plenty of length for me.

Besides, with thin ties, why would you want to tie any other knot but a FIH?

i also disagree; i have 2 and they make beautiful knots. the thin ties fit in perfectly with the rest of the black label collection.

Do you have any pics of the tie? I'd like to see how you got it to look so nice. I tried the four in hand and the knot was so small it looked terrible. Don't you find it odd that the thin end is almost as thick as the end that shows?

Not to pile on, but I would have to disagree as well. I only have one RLBL and while I do in fact prefer my Polo ties, I think BL makes a nice slim tie and ties a good FIH and has enough length for me @ 6'2".

you guys are really making we wonder about the tie I got, LOL. I've had it for some time now and I have yet to get a decent knot out if it. does anyone else see what I'm describing about the width problems ?

I ordered one and sent in back because I wasn't happy with it. Couldn't get the knot to pull tight at the bottom, and I wasn't comfortable with the width for myself, but otherwise it seemed of good quality. They have some really nice classic patterns as well.

Do you find it easy to get a good, dimpled, knot with 2 7/8 or 3 inch wide ties - regardless of brand or quality?
