I was wondering what everyone prefered. Ripped or not Ripped jeans. I personally shy towards the ripped side, I like the rustuc look. What about others?

This should've been posted in the Streetwear forum ...

That being said, if I'm wearing jeans with rips in them, it's because they've earned them with lots of wear.

Yeah ripped jeans are totally rustuc(sic). Sounds like the new "Brown is for farmer".

    These look awesome: [IMG]

OOps I am sorry I did post it in the wrong one. I got confused. I guess I should repost there or do I take it out of here?

Non-ripped. Allows me to dress them up when I need to, and keeps out the cold better during fall.

As a good friend used to say, "I'd put mustard on that!"

Also, I had a friend who would say, "I'd drink her bathwater!"

Non-ripped. And I'm also going to buck popular opinion by saying I don't like high-contrast fades or honeycombs anymore. [IMG] [IMG]

    Both

Naturally torn jeans are valued servants and friends of inestimable maturity. New jeans perfectly acceptable form of dress for many occasions.

Heh I think artificially distressed jeans are out here now as well, in favor of the same features earned naturally from dry denim. Personally I don't really subscribe to that school but I do like the dark monochromatic look of jeans dyed many times with dark indigos before washing, that keep it w/o fading (like 5EP)

I'm still seeing some where I live. Not surprisingly, my son is baffled as to why I won't shell out $50+ for him to wear jeans that look much worse than those you can pick up at the Salvation Army (which he would NEVER consider wearing).

I agree with the opinion that naturally torn jeans are cool.
