I am a huge fan of your suiting, however I am always lost as to your styles and fits. Currently I have found that with some tailoring I fit nicely into a style 184 however other models seem to be considerably smaller and were unwearable for me (ie style 236) Is there a place where a description of styles and fits is posted, or perhaps measurements for different styles.

That is a good point. Would you happen to have a list of your jacket models/styles as well as a description of the fit?

    Hi guys

Here is some more information on the models that are available in North America. Click on the headers for examples of each. If you have any other questions just let me know.

    253 and 254
Model 253 (or 254 when it is a jacket) is our most classic model. It is single breasted with notch lapels and a 3-roll-2 buttoning. The chest and shoulder are soft and the jacket has a slightly wider lapel and lower gorge than the other models.

    184
Model 184 is single breasted, with notch lapels and a 3-roll-2 buttoning. It’s soft and has a rounded look shoulder and chest. The overall fit is slightly slimmer and shorter than the 253, and it is has a higher gorge and narrower lapel.

    256
Model 256 is a double-breasted model with Soft shoulders and sharp, straight lapels. It is the slimmest and shortest of the models, but still maintains the classic elements of a DB jacket.

*In addition to these models, The Armoury has some exclusive models that they’ve developed, and more information on those is available on their site.

Nope, just the aforementioned two (The Armoury and Khaki's) for the time being.

I find that the Khakis of Carmel Ring model works great for me and for several of my friends who have very different builds, weight, etc. I have two of the RTW jackets and just sized up one size for an ideal fit.

Jim at Khakis has been great, along with Mr Sasamoto from Ring Japan, fitting and measuring me for my two custom Ring suits. Both fit perfectly right out of the box. Jim was also very helpful in recommending fabric options and has books from all of the better mills. I ended up with Loro Piana for one suit and Zegna for the other. I'm currently looking at some fabrics from their Holland & Sherry books for my next order.

If you are on the West Coast, I would recommend that you contact Jim at Khakis for RTW and once you dial in your size, consider having them order you a MTM or custom suit or jacket with your "dream" fabric. They really know their stuff and it is a great value.

Anyone know which coat model and what fabric is used on page 22 of the look book? Thank you.

It's model 184 and the fabric is a winter version of our "Balloon" cloth. "Balloon" is an exclusive Ring Jacket fabric developed and milled in Japan. It has a natural stretch like jersey, but because it is 100% wool it retains its shape and durability better. A.K. Rikk's currently has a version of this cloth in a deep red-ish brown that is beautiful. It's also in model 254, which I think you'll prefer to the 184 given your other posts.

Welcome to StyleForum! I had always been impressed with the Ring Jacket stuff that I would see in photos from The Armoury in the past and when checking stockists on your site was surprised to see there is one here in Michigan, A.K. Rikk's, in Grand Rapids. I had never heard of that store before but now might use wanting to check out some Ring Jacket offerings as an excuse to make a trip over to the other side of the state. :slayer:

Shops have the option of doing jackets either fully or half-lined, so it depends. Generally the orders have been fully-lined in the fall/winter and half-lined in the spring/summer.

For the uninitiated, are all RJ blazers and suit jackets fully canvassed? If not, how can we tell without examining in person? Thanks.

Hi Cyan - All models currently sold in North America (Mod. 253/254, Mod. 184 and Mod. 256) are all fully canvassed. We do offer one model which is completely unconstructed, but it is not yet sold in the region. Hope that helps.
