The details on this jacket are very nice. Little touches like the color of the button holes, the quality of the zipper, the subtle paisley interior lining. A lot of thought went into this for sure.

Ring Jacket has great designs and beautiful fabrics. Are they offered anywhere in Europe at the moment?

Has anyone bought from Rakuten? How did you choose your size? Are the measurements on the listings accurate?

I just kind of went for it. Shoulder measurement was fine, the rest will be tailored. It's really a pot luck when it comes to the various fits. I'd go to the armoury and figure out how you fit in the 184.

Obscure expression perhaps. It is impossible to know the different fits without trying them first, as without english translations you are guessing which is which.

Thanks Shapiro, I knew it would be a crapshoot. Sorry one last question, do you know if the shoulder measure is measured from back T seam to T seam or is it just from the vertical shoulder seam to vertical should seam.

T seam is the point where the the horizontal shoulder seam meets the vertical shoulder seam. Sorry to sound confusing but I don't know how else to describe it haha.

For those interested in measurements from our Ring Jacket model, here you go. I didn't take sleeve measurements as all of ours come unfinished. Sizes in EU, measured in inches:

    EU48:
    • chest: 40
    • waist: 36
    • shoulder: 17.25
    • length: 29

    EU50:
    • chest: 41
    • waist: 37
    • shoulder: 17.5
    • length: 29.5

    EU52:
    • chest: 42.5
    • waist: 39
    • shoulder: 18.25
    • length: 30

    EU54:
    • chest: 43.5
    • waist: 39.5
    • shoulder: 18.5
    • length: 30.5

    EU56:
    • chest: 45
    • waist: 41.5
    • shoulder: 19
    • length: 30.75

A few things to note when looking at these measurements: they're cut trim and shorter. I've typically sized customers up with Ring Jacket. While I technically can fit into an EU48 (and tend to wear that size in most brands), it felt a bit restrictive in the shoulder area -- so I've sized up to an EU50 on my personal order.

Let me know if you have more questions!

While I am not sure, based on the shoulder fit I got I would say seem to seem.

Even with the tailoring it is still a good deal though. Since you are in LA you shouldn't be afriad of buying your first one at Khakis to get your exact size down.

This is only for the 246 jacket model..... they have several different styles. Check their rakuten site for each style's measurements

    Thanks Schapiro,

I'd love to buy from Khakis first but unfortunately I'm a EU44/US34 so I don't have a lot of options haha

Why don't you email Khaki's and see if you can order a jacket in your size?

Admittedly, we don't have a EU46 or EU44 in stock, however, Ring Jacket will be bringing try-on jackets in that size to our trunk show (as well as trousers smaller than a 32" waist).

One of the reasons we're hosting the trunk show is because we know that many guys don't ordinarily have access to trying on gaments outside the traditional size ranges retailers carry -- and we know there's definitely demand for tailored clothing designed with those sizes in mind.

I am in the same boat.

For the price you can always take a gamble. If you buy something in 44 and it doesnt fit someone here will take it off your hands at a discount, so the cost to try isn't that low.
