If you live anywhere near the San Francisco Bay Area be sure and join us for the Styleforum Meetup on Tuesday hosted by Khaki's of Carmel along with their Ring Jacket trunk show. Mr Sasamoto will be on hand to measure and to make recommendations for fabrics and fits. They will be bringing RTW jackets and suits from their Carmel store as well to try on. Lots of great new things are available for Spring.

Has anybody returned anything to Ring Jacket's Rakuten store before? I bought a very nice suit from them, the jacket was spot on but the pants were far to low and tight to be altered. I emailed them, who were very helpful and courteous in the beginning, and they haven't gotten back to me for over a week.

I'm typically a 36S, and last night the 36R of the navy hopsack fit great if a little snug, but the 38R of the Creamy Waffle was definitely a bit big, but I think I could get away with tailoring it down for my proportions.

Are you guys generally against something like that?

Mr. Sasomoto said that they're unfortunately out of the off-white Creamy Waffle fabric, which I fell in love with. It's so perfect for me; been wanting something off-white and unique.

Deets on those EBs? (last, model no., sole)

I may place an MTO for that style soon. Poor man's GG St James :)

Go with whichever one fit best in the shoulders and collar (hug the neck). The RTW fit me pretty good, but I went with MTM and I think it's going to turn out great. Jim and Sasomoto were great to work with.

That was my thinking, too. Unfortunately, Jim said the fabric isn't available until at least this coming fall; in that case, I may do MTM and order a 37S or just go to Khaki's one weekend and get it done. The price is too good to pass up ($795)...pretty sure he said MTM wouldn't be extra, but I could be wrong.

Yes, it's a pretty significant price jump for MTM, but a lot of that depends of the fabric choice.

Sorry for the delay...just saw this. I honestly don't remember, but I'm pretty sure MTM adjustments were based on a size up. I'll let you know for sure when I get it in a couple weeks.

Loving my Creamy Waffle Navy sport coat from Ring, purchased from Khaki's (thanks, Alvaro!). I will post pics soon, but the stock 36/46 KMJ (?) cut is the best OTR fitting SC I have bought.

Pics soon. Getting the sleeves hemmed and waist let out just a touch.

Has anyone tried different cuts? Say, the cut available from The Armoury NYC?

I tried 184 and have AMJ03 (one of the Armoury cut), shoulder is more extended, can't remember what else is different though. I personally prefer 184.

    Cheers!

I believe the khakis model is KMJ. Regardless, Ring fits me so well. Amazing value, too.

How would RJ quality compare to something like RL Black Label, or BB Golden Fleece? Similar?
