I have not heard anything. I sent another email (just about a month after my last) and it has gone unanswered for over a week now. I bought some new Tricker's in cordovan to distract me but I am still waiting on my Riders.

hmmm...same here.

I’ll be in Richmond this wknd; think I’ll swing by to see what’s up.

I would consider it a favor if you were to report back in after.

So, spoke with Ron and Jeff about the Shell GMTO’s. They were unpacking the newly arrived boxes while I was there, and doing QC checks.

Unfortunately, those of us that ordered the scotch grain bourbon are in for a wait. Apparently, the first batch from Horween was not acceptable. So the maker in Italy refused it, and no word yet on whether they got a new batch, and what progress there is on making the shoes.

On a personal note, I’m not having any success ordering printed on Horween shell. This is my second attempt at getting a Horween shell boot made in their printed on shell with so far no success.

Great looking boots. And thank you for the GMTO update. I will return to feigning patience and/or indifference.

Which ones did you choose for the GMTO.
Planetoe Derby in Natural

You may still get yours first. My UPS number reports 6 days in route - so no shoes until next Monday.

I will put pics up when they come in. I'm curious if I can wear the Natural with khakis or if it would be tan overload.

I envy you, it will be a few months before I get mine, if I get them at all. Hope the next batch of scotch grain Horween sends is acceptable to the maker in Italy.

Shoes in hand - I was home to greet the UPS personally today. They fit well - Rider helped me tweak my size a bit. If they shrink down a tiny bit they will be perfect (cordovan often does in my experience). If not, medium socks will be called for.

They have a bit of freckling (is that a word?) on the toe - like we see on the Killdeer's eggs (a local ground-nesting brid). I will try to show this with a close up of the toes in pic 2. I'm not sure if I could brush this out or if its "character" in my shoes.

I may try and wear them tomorrow. I need to be on site with a Customer (working on some ERP Project details). I will try to get some "action" shots if I do wear them out:
