you should try and find the footage from the Today show where he acts like he shouldn't be called out on his bs when Robert Gibbs called him out. He didn't want any part of the spotlight.

the other stuff. I think he is of the belief that only a catastrophic economic environment will get governments to do the right thing in terms of spending cuts/taxes etc. Isn't he also seen as sort of the "founder" of the Tea Party movement?

That's a bit of an exaggeration, it's more like he's the Archduke Ferdinand of the movement. Or like what that Tunisian peddler who immolated himself was to the "Arab Spring."

I thought of him more as the Crispus Attucks type.

I'm stuck watching those talking heads all day, 99% of what they say is so absurd it defies logical sense....but if not for them where would panic selling come from?

Im not a tea party guy but I do enjoy listening to Rick Santelli. Its nice to hear from someone who lives in the bond market instead of journalists.
