Will is who I shop with.

I was going to get that suit this weekend; but, I feel it will be around during markdowns.

Are you from FL? That's where he said he got his stuff done; but, was looking at a guy upstate.

Mmm...this distinction seems dubious to me. I guess you're just paraphrasing the fashion vs. style dichotomy and saying that men's fashion like this is ridiculous, but women's fashion (as style or whatever) is okay?

I don't know if it implies that. Isn't it possible for someone to be good at designing women's clothing but not men's? More specifically, the kind of flowing, drape-y clothing he does is closer to normal women's clothing than men's, so it just looks less "out there."

+1. I don't think he was making any larger statement about fashion v style. He was just noting a fact about a particular designer--namely, that RO drapey men's stuff isn't as flattering as his drapey women's stuff.

Yeah, I sort of thought of this as I was writing what I posted, but I guess I just wanted to call someone out on the whole fashion vs style thing. Either way, I don't really agree with his statement...I certainly wouldn't wear some entire RO looks but a lot of pieces are workable and well made.

Even the Drkshdw stuff is made in Italy by Olmar and Mirta, most consistently high quality out of any fashion brand own.
