    good eye =)

    it is indeed based off that model
    but i wanted a few changes
    to make it a bit moar modern
    eg: the lacing being more like the perrier
    ie 'v' closing
    and changes to the heel cap

    With so much finish on the vamps of bespoke shoes like these doesn't it gunk all up around the creases as soon as you walk?

    That looks really complicated. :confused:

    I wonder how many times young cordwainers have tried these multi-pattern uppers only to get to the lasting stage to find it doesn't fit around the last.

    Shoemakers often design directly off the last. The basic shapes...known as the "formes"...were generated on the last before they became paper patterns and then leather components.

    All things being equal, there is no reason the patterns will fail to fit the last during lasting. The assembled uppers should very nearly fall onto the last--they started on the last, they are simply returning to the last.

    I looked up the word "Awesome" in a dictionary and was directed here.

    Amazing photos. Those Croc wholecuts are out of this world.
