t4... .holy shit man. Those crocs are amazing.
T4 are you the APortnoy of Bestettis?
only the last shoe is mine
the rest are some of what riccardo
is working on/just finished
that last one is very similar to the F&S BS sample IIRC??
good eye =)
it is indeed based off that model
but i wanted a few changes
to make it a bit moar modern
eg: the lacing being more like the perrier
ie 'v' closing
and changes to the heel cap
it is an unmistakable design very very unique - thro a little geeky of me to remember
looking forward to seeing the finished shoes!!!!!
With so much finish on the vamps of bespoke shoes like these doesn't it gunk all up around the creases as soon as you walk?
that is why i ask him
to only mirror gloss
the heels and tips of mine
and here are the pieces
that will make up my crescent cap
That looks really complicated.
I wonder how many times young cordwainers have tried these multi-pattern uppers only to get to the lasting stage to find it doesn't fit around the last.
Shoemakers often design directly off the last. The basic shapes...known as the "formes"...were generated on the last before they became paper patterns and then leather components.
All things being equal, there is no reason the patterns will fail to fit the last during lasting. The assembled uppers should very nearly fall onto the last--they started on the last, they are simply returning to the last.
Hmm, I see. Thanks for the clarification.
I looked up the word "Awesome" in a dictionary and was directed here.
Amazing photos. Those Croc wholecuts are out of this world.
i guess that they will be made in piggie??
