I had a chance to visit the new Barney's store in the Copely Square mall today.
The store is very pleasant -- 2 levels, with half of the upper floor dedicated to menswear.
The menswear section was split 50/50 between "trendy" stuff and "classic" stuff. Trendy included lots of Paul Smith and a jeans bar. "Classic" had a deep Isaia section, and lots of Crocket and Jones.
I was also impressed by how nice some of the Barney's items looked. They had some very nice chisel toed shoes in particular. I wonder who makes them.
Between Barney's, Saks, Louis, and Neiman, Boston is very well served.
