Will be at Waikiki beach from the 14th to the 20th. Any places that the wife and I must/should try? Any places to avoid? I'm talking about the general area. Fwiw, my wife loves seafood.

Thanks for the tips.

Side Street Inn. They have a new location closer to Waikiki and is less divey and still great. http://sidestreetinn.com/ Expect a wait. All the food is awesome there. Rainbow Drive-in for cheap, hawaiian plate lunches that are just enormous. Crazy combos of various meats, rice and gravy. Eggs n' Thing is a good breakfast spot. Portaguese sausage omelletes and pancakes with their coconut syrup. Really crowded with Japanese tourists though.
