My good friend and I shared a wonderful meal at Restaurant Eve in Alexandria, VA a while back. We opted four the 5-course menu, and especially tasty were the shortribs and the pumpkin seed brittle as an amuse bouche. Has anyone been there, or compared it to "classic" restaurants? I highly recommend it. www.restauranteve.com

I went there for my b-day/7-course tasting last week. Out of the 3 tasting menus I've tried in the area (there, Citronelle, and Maestro before the chef left), Cathal's was my favorite. Awesome restaurant.

A few times... always in the tasting room. It's one of my favorite places, consistently the 2nd best place in the DC area, IMHO.
