Hi,
i have two lovely pairs of Crockett and Jones shoes that i wear every other week. After some time the soles now need repairing.
I have two questions.
1. The back side of my heels always wear down first.
Can I give them in to any cobbler to simply fix only that rubber part or should I still be giving them to a professional cobbler who will have to resole the entire shoe?
2. The sole looks like it has been worn through and allowing any more wear i assume would damage the welt.
When the sole needs replacing, is it better for me to spend £115 on giving them to Crockett and Jones to replace or could I give them to a competent cobbler for half the price and if so do you have any recommendations?
any information would be much appreciated.
thanks!
