I have a pair of suede shoes with crepe soles. The shoes are actually brand new, so they don't need a resole. However, it seems to me that the shoes would look even better with a regular leather sole. I'm not sure if this is possible, but I thought someone here might know.

What brand and style of shoe? As long as they are recraftable you should be able to switch out soles.

Are you sure you want to do this? They make suede shoes with leather soles, so you might consider buying a second pair.

Not sure I want to do it, no. But I want to at least know it is possible. They are actually Saks house brand. I got them for cheap and, while they are not EG or anything, they are actually pretty nice. They are an oxford half brogue on a last that sort of resembes the EG 888. I like the shoes as is, but the crepe sole makes them a bit too casual for business wear in my opinion (though it would work great with cotton trousers during the spring and summer).

I would be able to tell if you post a picture of them.
