    Hi Everyone,

I own a pair of Allen Edmonds Bergamo shoes, and they are probably my favorite loafer that I own at the moment. Normally getting Allen Edmonds shoes resoled is a fairly simple procedure, but I'm wondering if these shoes, given that their made in an "Italian style," feature the sort of welt and stiching that would enable them to be resoled. I'm also wondering if I take them to a cobbler, will they put on more of a standard sized sole vs. the very thin ones that come with the loafer. Thanks.

They might be resoleable. AE I know will not "recraft" them.

Just a heads-up, these are back on sale on the AE website and elsewhere for about $175. Great deal on an exceedingly comfortable shoe. I called AE twice and both times I was told that these are absolutely recraftable.
