Hi everyone! My first post here but I've been a voracious reader of the Styleforum for some time. I've got some of the blue cap Renovateur and a bottle of VSC and was wondering which one you guys think would be best for alligator shoes. I've read that both can be used with exotic skins. BTW, I know Saphir makes Reptan, but since I've already got the other creams...
Thanks,
Rich

I have heard of the products you mentioned but have never used them myself. Perhaps others here can offer their experiences.

I have used Bickmore exotic on all my all my exotic skin boots, including American alligator, for many years now and have been very satisfied. You may want to give it a try.

Bickmore #4 is a fine product as well and I keep a bottle on hand. You can’t go wrong with either. However, I have found their exotic cream seems to soak in a little better and give a little bit nicer finished look with reptilian skins such as alligator, lizard, caiman, etc.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Here are some photos of the shoes I'm looking to refresh. A pair of Moreschi loafers with exotic tops and trim. Not sure what the other leather is but it's incredibly soft.
