Pretesting is good advice for any product. That said, I've never had a problem with Lexol cleaner darkening any of my leather. I would think the conditioner is more likely to do that than the cleaner.I would test the Lexol in an inconspicuous area of the shoe to make sure it won't darken the leather, as I've heard it can do.
