Removing salsa stain

I spilled some salsa sauce on my Oxxford sportcoat (note to self: never wear Oxxford to Chevys). Any recommendations on how to remove it? Or should I just take it to a dry cleaner. Any recommendations for a great drycleaner in SF? I'm wary of sending it to places that simply sends jackets to some massive plant.

Ok, now to let you off the hook.

The good news is that this is not an oil based stain and should come out very easily.

Get a clean white cloth, a little cold water and a drop or two of woolite. Gently blot the stain with the dampened cloth and then you can rub it out 99% of the time. Depending on the weave (is this a fuzzy or a silky??) it should come right out.

You want to do that before drycleaning to get as much out as possible (and quite likely you will get all of it) before having someone steam press it into the jacket permanently.

I've learned when tomato based stuff is spilled on anything, always blot it off with cold water immediately or ASAP. Do not allow it to set or even dry, if possible. Beyond that it will be specific to the fabric and the stain, but the sooner you dilute and get it out of the fibres the better your chances of saving the garment.
