I remove the label if I think it can be done easily without damaging the scarf.

I take the labels off of most everything. OF course scarves, but also neckties and very frequently sweaters/shirts, etc. As J mentioned, they are sticky and I'd rather let an item speak through presentation than there there is a little horsey and carriage on the back or interlocking C's.

Although the pony on the sweater I am wearing would say otherwise, I am not a fan of visible labels. Removing them from the backs of ties may be a little OCD, but it's the right idea.

If the label on the back of the tie is the keeper loop, do you still do it?

Gosh, I've never thought of removing the label from a scarf, but I always make sure that the label isn't visible when I wear it.

Remove the label and you wouldn't need to worry about that anymore... voila.

Removing labels from ties? Good grief. All that label removing is far too much work. Don't worry about it.

And I must say, as a thrifter I appreciate all the labels that remain.
