I have the old hoodie (gray) and absolutely love it, wear it every night when I walk my dog.
I will say that the facemask is useless (meaning, I haven't used it even once). It's been a pain when washing the hoodie though, because it'll never dry unless it's take out and allowed to dry flat

Oh wow I didn't even notice that. The mask looks pretty useful for cold weather.

It's amusing how they're marketing this stuff as actual motorcycle riding gear though lol.

I really like the fleece motorcycle jacket. I don't think I like it in leather since I don't ride, but I can rock this piece. Too bad it already sold out in my size by the time I discovered it.

the grey version is available in all sizes direct from Deus, the new black version is available in M, L, XL from revolve.

tbh i like that fleece rider better than a lot of leather ones i've seen.

(although i'm not a huge fan of riders, so probably not the best judge.)

Anyone have an idea of where I can pick up a black side zip crew? It would really fill a whole in my wardrobe.

I wish they still had the heavyweight crew side zip in medium but that **** is long gone. The stretch nylon just isn't really what I'm going for.

i've got a heavyweight full-zip hoodie and tiger fleece crewneck sweatshirt from RC - love them both. I like that they're fitted and aren't ridiculously baggy like most other brands. I guess the true test will be how much they shrink when they get washed.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on some reigning champ stuff. What would you guys consider as must haves for RC? I was thinking of getting one sweat set (i.e. 1 top and 1 bottom). What do you guys think?

Thanks!:)

Reigning Champ X Everlast N.Y.

The devil is in the details:

Reigning Champ X Everlast N.Y. Review:
The craftsmanship is impeccable. Super thick poly stitching. Hefty/dense/soft cotton fabric. Thick ribbed fabric at side seams, collar, and very bottom with a bit of elastic. Nice shiny pitch black color. Screen printing is really well done. Everything on it feels rugged with no weak points or neglected details. Not exactly sure what to wear it with, but the other day I wore it over a t-shirt and it was very nice how I didn't overheat even though it was a semi-warm day, yet it blocked out the wind/weather. Thinking it will make for a useful layering piece year around. Overall it's nice and I honestly can't find a complaint with this sweatshirt.

Nice to see that there's a thread for this stuff.

we're heavily stocked in core colors / products, and we pick up a big chunk of seasonal from this branch of CYC (along with a smattering of W+H). Reigning Champ is one of our favorites in the store because its so simple.

I'd start with midweight terry - it's their basic fabric, 100% cotton and pretty much fit for any weather. shorts or pants are personal preference, and seasonally dependent (though for inside my apartment I'd vote shorts 95% of the time)

for a top, my favorites are the zip hoodies and the crews. the crew neck sweatshirt can double as a sweater for casual "semi dressed up" formality (the kind of thing an oxford shirt would pass during) which in maine is almost any event. I like the zip hoodie over the pullover simply because you can wear it unzipped when it gets too warm out, and I find it layers better since you dont pull your whole outfit off when like you do with a pullover.

You can see core & heavyweight up on the web now. let me know if you guys have any questions - I've been selling and wearing these for 2 years now so I'm very familliar with the different fabrics and sizing. we're expecting some seasonal deliveries later in the spring.

Thanks for getting back to me! I actually purchased my reigning champ stuff a day or two before you replied as there was an easter sale! It should be arriving any time now, can't wait! I got the sweat shirt and sweat pants. Hope the fit is alright. How does RC normally fit? I found so many different measurements!

That's a good argument for the zip hoodies! I never thought of it that way. Do you have any experience with their different weights of materials? How do they fit? I recently bought the Reigning Champ Raglan Crew Neck Sweat from their F/W 2014 collection on sale. It's a cotton/poly blend but I was shocked as it is quite hard to take off! Fits pretty well, but has little to no stretch or give. Feels like I almost dislocate my shoulders each time I try to take it off! It's so soft though hahaha so that's a major plus point!:) Are the cotton/poly blends usually unstretchable?

I would say the RC stuff fits true to size. I like that their tops aren't billowy like a lot of other athletic brands. I'm 5'11, 180 lbs and wear a large.

As to their stuff having no stretch, my tiger fleece crewneck is the same way - there's virtually no stretch when putting it on or taking it off. but, I prefer it this way. the one thing I love about my tiger fleece besides the style/colorway is that it's incredibly warm. If i'm sitting stationary at my desk at work I can feel my core body temp start to go up and I start to sweat. it's definitely a great cold weather top
