I'm 5'10" and about 155 lbs. Even with the LVC '47 (33x34) I look very skinny. What other jeans should I be looking at that don't make me look like I'm skinny. I don't like bootcuts.

Aren't the current 501 stfs pretty big? You could try those. I'm under the impression that most of the LVC line is very slim to begin with...

Only a few LVC models are really that slim. I'd try the 55 or 44 501s if the 1947s are too slim for you.

What about other brands? I prefer my next pair to be non-Levi's.

If you've got the money you can try to get some Nudies Regular ralf, they fit pretty nice (not too loose but just right imo). But those do run pretty expensive. The only downside to that is that it is bootcut but it's not that noticeable.

Edwin nashville, slim straight, good quality. Slightly wider than the 47s id think.

I'm 6' and 160 lbs right now, used to be as low as 130 lbs.

One thing I advise you learn: bigger jeans do not make you look bigger. Slimmer clothing makes you look 'fuller', therefore bigger, even though they fit smaller.

Good luck.

Yes. Even if you prefer relaxed jeans, they should fit properly in the waist and hips, or you will end up with a feminine figure, if you have a skinny upper body. And at 5'10"/155 lbs, I really doubt that a 33 is your correct waist size, unless you're very out of shape.

I have a 32" waist (remember LVC 1947 shrinks about an inch in the waist post soak). With my body type, I actually prefer the fit of the current Levi's 501 STF vs. the 1947 fit. However, the quality of the denim on the 501 STF isn't that great. What other jeans have similar fit to the current 501 STF? My 32W 501 STF pair have these dimensions: Thigh:12", Rise: 12", Knee: 9", Hem: 8".

No, he just doesn't want to look skinny. A skinny guy wearing tight jeans looks pretty bad. I'm not sure when skinny became desirable or was considered healthy. 20 lbs. overweight isn't good, but 20 lbs. underweight isn't good either.

Looser jeans don't make you look bigger.

I understand not wanting to wear Jonas brothers slim emo jeans if you feel self concious about being slim, but I would still go with a slim straight or straight leg jeans.

Now that I wear slimmer jeans, my larger leg jeans look like a baggy mess.

Additionally, if you add length to the inseam on slim/straight jeans the stacking at the ankles and knees will not only create the illusion of a looser jean, they also look more masculine and prevent that pencil thin straight girl jean look that is probably what makes you think you look too skinny.
