I searched the archives and could not find an exact answer to this, so I apologize if it has been dealt with. But I am thinking about having an odd sport coat made with hacking pockets. My question, how do you do hacking pockets? Do you do both pockets slanted, with a slanting ticket pocket as well? Or do only go with two pockets and forgo the ticket pocket?

It's really a matter of preference, IMHO. You can do slanting hip pockets with or without the slanting ticket pocket. I personally would prefer to add a ticket pocket to a coat with hacking style pockets, but that is a personal preference. I should add that I am getting away from both hacking pockets and ticket pockets for future suits and coats . . . .

Yeah, I'm not going to go overboard. I just plan to have one odd jacket made with hacking pockets, but not looking to do any suits like that.
