I'm looking at getting the chukkas pictured below. I've not owned Redwings before but i've heard the qualitys very good. What do you guys reckon to these ?

Pretty cool purchase. The leather quality from Red Wing is superb.

very nice. what model number are those? also, have you tried them on? are they heavy? looking to pull the trigger on some 1905s soon.

Not sure on the model number. I havent even tried them as i'm planning on buying them online

Overall quality and construction to Redwings are quite good, especially when comparing prices to the Alden's Chukas!

i'd be curious too. the more i look at those from the original post, the more i like them.

there's another boot thread that talks about how some Red Wings, while manufactured in the US, are sold for overseas use only. case in point are the 1909s that are available on the www.volls.de site.

those look pretty nice. LIke the colour, and they're different from the chukkas on the REd WIng USA site.

What site are you ordering them from? Cuz I might jump on that myself

1905s are readily available in the US. i was at a Red Wing dealership in Pasadena a few weeks ago. they were selling for $194.99.

but if it's the 1909s that you're looking for, it seems like you can't get them in the States. www.volls.de has them and you can also get them at www.rakuten.co.jp.
