So I just bought a pair of 8085 I’m usually a size 11.5 to 12 and the lady at the store insisted that a size 10 would be best but my heels are killing me and it was rather uncomfortable trying them on in the store but she insisted that they’d stretch and that she’s been selling shoes for many years and assured me that they’d stretch out but from looking at the boots the toes and heels are thickest and don’t seem they’re stretch all that much not to mention my toes don’t comfortably wiggle in the toe cap like what I’ve read. Also I can’t fit my finger between my heel and the heel of the boots. Any advice is this normal or should I try the 10.5’s or 11’s?

sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Exchange them. This was suggested to me also and I ignored the advice and went with my normal dress shoe size which is 9US and they fit great. I've been wearing them nearly everyday for 2 years and sure they may have stretched a tiny bit but nothing major.

No way. I wear the same size IRs as my Vans/Nike size. MAYBE could have gone down half a size. But that is likely way too small.

Thanks to the both of you. I ended up returning them for a larger pair and went with 11’s they fit much better and my toes don’t go numb anymore and my heels don’t feel like fire. But when I brought them in one of the guys said that they don’t do returns and was being pretty difficult and then made a condescending remark about the boots break in period and that I should’ve gotten the right size in the first place. So I told I know about the break in period but the heel and toe cap won’t stretch much if at all and that’s where all my pain was coming from from being too tight. Any good sock recommendations?
