Anybody know if these will be available in the US? I also would like to see the moc toe oxford on the end. Don't know if they will be available here though:

Wanted to get opinions on these. My wife and teenage kids think they look awful. I was able to get them fairly cheap from Zappos and I think they will look killer when broken in. opinions?

Why did they ruin an otherwise fine looking upper with another ugly white sole?

Beautiful leather/construction, horrible design for a chukka.

And why the hell can they not make the GT in that brown leather?

Can Red Wings' crepe-soled boots be resoled with a rubber outsole?

Crepe is rubber. And yes, they can be re-soled.

Check out these GT-esque boots. NOS from eBay. I wonder what vintage they are...

They are more comfortable than my GTs, but they are an E width (not available with GTs).

These will be available in North America, and should be showing up in shops in the next couple weeks i would think. We've got the Sage ones coming which i'm pretty excited about.

i was on the phone with the brand manager (?) at red wing. she says it won't be available for retail until august 2010.

    9024 black - $290
    9017 brown - $290

i've since changed my mind about these shoes... i'm just gonna go for alden chukkas instead of these. they're too chunky.

Grrr i received the boots today.

Right away i noticed something funky with them... the right boot's tongue is super thin and flimsy, while the left is thicker and more stiff.

The tongue on the right boot is actually pretty comfortable while the tongue on the left pair are thicker so the fold is fatter where they are sewn into the sides of the boots and kind of dig into my foot... not comfortable.

Is the tongue supposed to be thin or thicker closer to the rest of the upper material?

Can't send em back either, they were the last in my size.

    How do these Chukkas fit?

When compared to GTs should I get same size?
