Red Wing is an iconic brand which still offers a significant number of Made in USA footwear styles. Here is a photo of model #595 work chukka boots, which I enjoyed wearing for about 10 years. Please post to this thread comments and, or, photos of the Red Wing brand shoes/boots you've worn.

I've ordered pair of the discontinued Red Wing 6" style #952 and will post a photo or two once the boots arrive.

This is a pair of Made in USA Red Wing leather upper, rubber sole slip-on shoes I've had for about 15 years.

Here is a pair of Red Wing footwear styled like a boat shoe. I purchased this pair about a dozen years ago, at a time when Red Wing offered the B width for several of the company's shoes and boots.

I have a very similar pair but 8” height. I’ll post them up tomorrow.

Mine are quite well worn now and very comfortable.

Within Red Wing's current line is the 8" boot model number 953, which I guess is the one you have. Please do post a photo or two of your boots. I've worn my 6" #952 boots several days now and like them very much.

Here are my 9196 Policeman/Postman boots

I think your boots might be model 9197. The model 9196 is a 3 eyelet postman chukka boot. Red Wing also makes a postman low cut oxford (model 101) and a postman romeo (#9198). Your boots are awesome and could have been a limited edition model, but I am not sure about that.

Typo my man. Typo

I believe they were a foreign market release. I don’t remember if they were released in the US.

How do you like the crepe sole of those boots ? I imagine it is softer to the touch and more cushiony for walking than the rubber wedge sole Red Wing uses for its classic moc toe work boots.
