Red Leather Trench coat

Yes or no? Just saw a picture of one and thinking this could really look great since i wear alot of black normally. Only thing is I stumbled onto it on a game i was playing. Will reality blunten the look?

If not, how much would you think that would cost to get made? And if not leather, than alternate materials?

Finding a tailor to do the armored shoulder plates would ne the hardest part. And let's face it, the look just doesn't work without them.
