Hey guys,

My sister is currently looking to buy a watch for her husband and he apparently likes rectangular watches.

Her initial budget was $250 but I made her double it to $500 because I know there is much under $250. So her MAX is $500 not a penny more.

I could recommend her quite a few round faced watches but I've never paid attention to rectangular watches because I don't like them personally.

What would you recommend?

Thanks in advance for your input! (I did do a search but only high priced watches came up).

Is she willing to consider a vintage watch? Not having checked prices in a few years, I still imagine you could get a pretty nice vintage Hamilton or Gruen for that price.

Quartz will get you many more options if $500 is the ceiling.

I would suggest Tissot Quadrato as an option. It is square as opposed to rectangle so not sure how strict the shape criteria is.

Tissot Le Locle has a square/rectangular option but is slighly above your ceiling.

Hamilton Jazzmaster also comes in rectangular, square and tonneau I believe and should come in at about the high 400 range.

Need a big fan of square watches. The MLC is a decent one and I like where the date is. Stuhrling looks ok but the date at the 2 throws it off (IMHO)
