Dear All,

Hope you are all staying safe and well.

I would be very grateful for some recommendations of where I can purchase some trousers to wear to a restaurant for evening meals in a hot climate.

The restaurant in mind has outdoor dining and would require a shirt with a collar, not a jacket and certainly no sportswear. I was thinking of something like chinos but would certainly be very grateful for any other thoughts.

I need to make a purchase within the UK and ideally by mail order.

Many thanks

I don't know the RTW market in the UK. But you can look for tropical wool trousers.

How much time do you have? Your post had a sense of urgency to it.

My apologies for not knowing this, but why is buying in person not an option. Purchasing online, hoping for the right fit and any alterations that may be needed doesn’t sound like something very efficient.

Thanks for the response. It may well be the trousers are a birthday present (for myself!!) and due to covid restrictions I'd prefer not to go out if possible

Most people here shop online for their clothes and many are well dressed. I wouldn't let online shopping deter you. However, I don't know the UK RTW market very well. You may want to check Trunk Clothiers. I generally think they have nice things, so they may have RTW trousers that suit your needs.

No personal experience but Natalino gets good reviews here. They are UK based and have linen and high-twist wool trousers for warmer weather.

that’s fine when you know what you’re looking for and your fit. Sounds like he needs something soon.
