Recommendations for leather sole protectors?

I have a couple of new designer loafers and although they are leather soles, they are real thin and most likely cemented on.
I don't want to do topy installation at a cobbler.

Is there any recommendations for a cheap plastic or rubber, do-it-yourself, cut-out adhesives or something I can glue on, to lengthen the life of these soles?

I got some cheap Chinese ones off Amazon, non-adhesive, and glued them onto my Clark's desert boots with Gorilla glue. It doesn't look that pretty, but it works and Clark's are $70 casual shoes so its fine. I personally wouldn't go this route with nicer shoes.

Yeah. I saw a whole slew of these adhesive type rubber, or film, etc on Amazon for about 10 bux just didn't know if they were really effective over long period.
I would suspect gorilla glue or something similar will end up gritty or tacky on the bottoms of the shoes when they wear down.

Even if it is something I can quickly put on and take off will be good. Usually at my work building there's carpet and tile which doesn't concern me. It's the outside parking lot asphalt and sidewalk I'm sure will grind the soles down over time.

I would just have a cobbler put them on properly. I have them on all my Allen Edmond dress shoes. Figured I'm spending ~$400 on a pair shoes, and I want to protect that investment and it saves costs on resoling/repairing them more frequently. But for $70 disposable shoes, no reason to spend $40 having sole protectors put on.
