I've got a fairly simply question. What are some high end suit brands which feature more modern cuts for younger men? I'm almost 30, but in good shape and finally starting my career after graduate school. I have tried a few high-end suits (J-press, zegna, etc...), but most seem too sack-like. I don't want to waste my time on modern-cut suits that will fall apart in a few years. I'm just looking for some basic pointers for suit brands which will have some durability but still fit a younger style (or brands to avoid). I realize that I'll have to try quite a few before I find the right fit. Thanks!

Good questions. Budget is variable. I'm willing to pay north of $2000 for a suit, but I'm also not in a hurry to build a multi-suit wardrobe quickly. After I get two really good fitting suits, I'm more than willing to be patient and look for good sales (on high end items) or shop on ebay as well.

I live in New Haven and make monthly trips to New York, so I'm in a good area for high end clothing. Thanks in advance.

Try Belvest. The quality of the tailoring and materials is excellent. They have several cuts but they tend to favor a more trim modern look without being fashion driven. Belvest also makes private label for two luxury brands top suit lines at much higher prices than their label. They know what they are doing.

I believe Bergdorf carries them, usually staples like grey and navy.

Ralph Lauren already has been tried? There also are options like Dolce & Gabbana and Dior Homme (probably the best choice for a large drop/v-shape). Should be available in NYC.

Suit supply? Never tried it, but people seem to love it.
