Recommendations for a Good First Suit?

Do you guys have any recommendations for something good that I can wear for at least a couple of years? I'm going to need it for interviews and the occasional wedding. I'm looking for something less than $500, preferably in the $300-$400 range, with a somewhat modern fit, but nothing too extreme. Any ideas? Also, what are some good brands/stores to buy dress shirts, at $80 or below a pop? Thanks for any help

Having said that, you can't get anything good for $300, unless it's second hand.

at 300 bucks, you can try Buying and Selling or Ebay. But I hope you're aware of your size, because there's no returns doing that.
