Recommendation for a quality Cofee Mug?

seriously people, what's with the snark? Not all mugs are the same. I have one that is my absolute favourite. It holds a lot of liquid, tapers down towards the top, meaning low centre-of-mass (doesn't tip over) and small surface area (stays hot longer). It has a rubber-like coating on the bottom meaning it doesn't slide around and it protects whatever it's standing on. If it was microwave-safe, it would be perfect. In terms of usefulness-per-dollar-spent a nice mug is hard to beat if you drink a lot of hot beverages. I'd commission a bespoke mug before I'd commission a bespoke suit

I don't mean to jack the thread, but does anyone know of any good vacuum flasks? I have yet to see a Thermos that's aesthetically pleasing.

Muji probably has something like this.

Check any of the better known leather goods and luxury companies. Most of them will have a flask in their accessories or hunting groups. There seems to be about three common designs for the vacuum flasks that I've seen.

You could also commission one fairly easily as long as you're cool with one of the standard flask shapes.

Good luck.

^ Zojirushi might have decent looking stainless cylindrical thermos things as well, as they're common in Asia for tea/miso soup, on the cheap end.

I have two preferred mugs....one is my class mug (no idea how it survived 4 years of college with only a cracked and super glued handle to show for it) and another mug that is exactly the same shape but was one of those kits where you draw on it with special crayons and then put it in the oven for a personalized mug.

I recommend the personalized mug...I drew little circles in different colors on it and am satisfied. I think I also wrote something insulting to my roommate on the bottom in yellow (the yellow is faint to the point of being hard to see) but the bottom glaze must be different from the sides of the mug as my insult soon washed off.

I have a whole cabinet full of mugs. They seem to just collect over time. Souvenirs, free gifts with company logos. All have high liquid content as I like to have coffee in more quantity.
