    Hey guys,

So I'm looking for either a really warm peacoat, or a good down jacket. I get cold pretty easily, want to get something slim fitting, and have about 1k to spend.

    Stats:
    Age- 21
    Height- 5'9
    Chest- 39
    Waist- 31
    Bicep (Flexed)- 14.5

I'm considering Canada Goose or maybe a peacoat from Theory? I want something very stylish but not trendy.

While you're at it, if anyone can recommend brands I should in general be erring towards with my height/ proportions that'd be very appreciated.

    Thanks!

if you can wait, you can get a TOJ fishtail, but if not Canada goose should be fine for practical purposes

I think Canada Goose is what you want. I lived in NYC for a decade before moving to Paris -- I was always happy to have a down coat with a zipper. Problem with pea coats or duffle coats with buttons or toggles is that the wind will get in. There's always those days when the wind whips in from the Hudson and it's 15 fahrenheit. If you want a dressier coat, too, I'd get a Gloverall duffle or a slimmer fitting pea coat -- I think BIlly Reid makes a nice one. Can't speak to ToJ but I'd think you'd want to try it on with sweater underneath first.

If you want to be really baller Nanamica or North Face Purple Label often have super high-quality gear but you'll probably need to proxy from Japan. I would have said Moncler a few years ago but I think that's played out...

That TOJ peacoat is a really nice looking piece.. what's the deal with TOJ? I've never heard of them and they don't have a site right now.

Probably going to end up going the Canada Goose route in the next couple of weeks, and then kind of on the lookout for a nice peacoat to round everything out.

Billy Reid definitely does make some nice peacoats - a bit formal for me though, along with the Gloverall.

The NFPL stuff is definitely not my taste, but thanks for the suggestion. Moncler actually came out with some new looks this year that I'm interested in:
