about teamwork? Some of my team members are slacking off and not putting in their share of work, and I'd like to invite them to watch the movie with me so they get the message without having to tell them you need to do the work.

If your idea of teamwork involves capturing an entire class of Japanese school children, abandoning them on an island, and forcing them to kill each other off until a sole survivor is determined I would by all means recommend Battle Royale.

You're going to make your team watch a movie to encourage them to work? Are you in grade school or some nonsense? If this was in the workplace, I'd laugh at you and then leave for a long coffee break. Instead, how about telling them that they need to get their act together or they're gone?

Fire them, and hire new people. Or outsource their jobs.

By the way, that is such a passive-aggressive approach to take. Drop the veiled messages and be straight up.

nothing more need be said. If you can't kick some tail you do not deserve to lead. If these are your colleagues, you should work on climbing the ladder and leaving these slugs behind quickly. Wait - wait - wait - you're going about this all wrong. Email them a link to this thread.
