Recommend me a slim, inexpensive summer suit.

So, I was just invited to two last-minute summer weddings. Both ceremonies will be outdoors in 100+ deg heat (ugh).

I currently only own one suit that fits me well, but it's a wool navy one.

I'm considering picking up a slim, lightweight suit for occasions like this. Anything that might fit these criteria?

1. Slim
2. Lightweight for summer - cotton, linen, etc
3. NOT seersucker - hate the stripes
4. Fairly inexpensive since it won't be worn very often. Let's say ~ $300 or less
5. Preferably something I can pickup locally vs online unless there is fast shipping since I'll need to get this tailored ASAP

Any suggestions? Not sure about color, right now I'm thinking a light or mid-grey.

You could go lightweight tan suit. Or even a cotton blue one. I would Google Haspel suits to find one. They made my seersucker one and its fairly well made.

Go to one or two shops and see what there is and that fits.No one has a clue what size or shape you are or indeed where you live - so any advice is a pure guess and probably of little or less use.

I second J. Crew. I have two of them and have been really impressed. They fit (me at least) perfectly off the racks and are very slim and relatively inexpensive.

I'd also suggest trying out SuitSupply. I've planning to stop in there for months but never get around to it.

For a small, casual summer wedding, do you think I could get away with a navy linen jacket and a pair of mid-grey pants, or is a suit pretty much required at a wedding?

My point exactly.

I am a new member on SF and have not listed or sold any or posted in forums. I do have a Trussardi linen linen suit. Not quite oiive more of a grayish taupe?
Another reason posting here is to see if it works! :)
I tried posting something earlier in Men's clothing - and it did not work!
