Looking for suggestions <$40. Thanks!

Ideally don't want super bulky cases like Otterbox, etc.

I used a combination of Steinheil films and the bumper case, but the bumper case's 30-pin slot is too narrow to work with most things, so I ended up eventually destroying the bumper by taking it on and off too often. Now I use a Casemate Barely There with just the Steinheil front film.

If you get a film, get a hard film for the front: it's very easy to apply, and basically invisible.

Thanks Andre, the Barely There looks like a winner.

It's glass, and I've just used soft cotton (like a T-shirt) to occasionally wipe it. One caution about the form-fitting cases like the Casemate and others which make contact with the glass back of the phone: some people believe that if some grit is caught between the case and the glass surface, it could cause cracks in the glass. I remove the case maybe once a month (or whenever I remember it), to wipe off any dust that may have accumulated under the case.

You know this is what I use and had the same problem tying to connecting it in my car because how narrow the slot was. I easily fixed this problem with a dremel and just cut out some of the excess plastic. I would definitely suggest this as the cleanest case.
