I find myself disappointed in many fragrances in today's market, most of them, dare I be ignorant, smell very similar. I just bought Guerlain's Vetiver, and it smells like many of fragrances I've tried in the past. And I have to say, I'm not a big fan.

Can you recommend me one I can wear in the Spring or Summer? I'm looking for something that smells similar to Aqua Di Gio... something sweet yet fresh. Two fragrances I have loved and still do love are Aqua Di Gio and The Dreamer by Versace. I usually wear the former in warm weather, and the ladder in colder ones.

Well, the "something sweet and fresh" scent will def. put you in a category of fragrances that all smell similar. If that is what you're after', try Ferragamo (Blue/Clear bottle) or Zegna (clear bottle). For something a bit different, I suggest the following:

Terre d'Hermes;
Aveda Pure Performance for Men (Aveda's new cologne); or
Art of Shaving Sandlewood

It's it only for girls? I know a lot of girls who wear it...

There's really no appropriate word to use to describe scents. I don't mean the generic sweet and refreshing scent, I mean something sweet and warm (but not earthy and too deep). Something along the lines of The Dreamer for warmer weather.

Not sure if it's what your into, but I just picked up Malin+Goetz Lotus root. The 'rum tonic' one is also quite amazing, but seems to be sold out everywhere.

Happy searching!

Dior Homme Sport is very similar to AdG.

check into the various bay rum offerings - they're classic, masculine, somewhat sweet but not cloying. Burt's Bees Bay Rum in particular is surprisingly good for the lucre.

Try the Hermes Jardins. There are currently three out and each is quite nice. I think you might find them a nice alternative... not too "out there" but still good.

Eau de lalique is another that I love and it's very reasonable when purchased online.

Check out www.scentiments.com as they have good prices on authentic merchandise. Other than that, maybe do a search as we've had LOTS of these discussions recently and some very good recs were made on them.

Good luck!

Creed Silver Mountain Water is a very nice warm weather fragrance. Unfortunately, it does not last that long.

could u post a sample so I can smell it?

I smelt a guys smell at a bar the other night and kind of liked it, though I think the guy looked like a dumb prick. No im just being an a-hole. But it smelled good, I almost asked him what he was wearing, but two girls came in and cock-blocked me.
