I just bought a beautiful Canali charcoal 2 button, side vented, flat front suit for less than $700 NWT on Ebay. It still had the $1495 Nordstrom tag on it when it arrived at my front door. There are definitely deals to be had out there, just takes some research. Also for what its worth, I had been looking at buying a similar suit by Hickey Freeman but after trying both on in the store I like the cut and overall feel of the Canali better. I'll wear HF when I'm older.

Expensive for what it is, even on sale. But, its backed by BB, keep the receipt and if anything goes wrong, they'll probably fix it.

The fit is the best BB has. Unless its called something else...

I have one in grey . I'm not wild about it.

I would prefel a Canali if you are an athletic build or even "Saks" house label they make a nice looking 2 button solid grey that is out right now.

What about RL Black Label? Decent quality? Do those go on sale?

Thanks, if Brooks is too expensive, what do you recommend?

Yes, I believe that SF member "Tony Romo" has one in the B&S forum right now.

Top notch quality (if you don't mind massive shoulder padding). Made in Italy by Raffaele Caruso. Full canvassing.

I just picked up a Fitzgerald suit. While the sale price ($675) was a bit much for a half-canvassed suit, the fit works well on me. And these hardly ever show up in B&S. A lot of half-canvassed, slimmer lines like hickey have slacks that are too tapered. Great for an evening/"lounge" suit, but they look out of place in a business setting. I like the Fitz because the slacks are more modest. It's the only half-canvassed suit I can think of with a fit like that.

Yikes! I'm not a fan of shoulder pads -- reminds me of 80s/90s suits.
