Recommend a watch for a female friend, $1500

Some great advice here. Thanks guys. Just to reiterate, there's no way she's going for a used watch. She wouldn't have a clue where to start and personally am not interested in exerting that much time and energy to do the research myself. Imagine I directed towards a fake (or something, accidentally)? What a nightmare.

I bought this Raymond Weil quartz watch about 5 years ago, and it's been keeping perfect time ever since. Has been in to the jeweler once to have the battery replaced. IIRC, I paid right around $1,000 which is the most I'd ever pay for a quartz watch. Their ladies watches are also quite nice, and moderately priced.
