Gentlemen,
I recently purchased a used Ermenegildo Zegna on eBay and I was wanting the forum's opinion on the suit. Because so many companies are making suits from Zegna wool that I have a harder time gauging the value of a Zegna compared to a RL, Kiton, Brioni, Borrelli. I've tried a few Zegnas on at Neiman's and they are one of the only suits I can find that fits the profile of my shoulders with a slimmer cut, so I jumped on this one.
The listing states full canvas construction and the detailing on the suit leads me to believe that the retail value listed is accurate. I know this "Folio" wool is somewhere around 120s and I'm fine with that as well. What worries me is that it does not clearly state "Made In Italy".
For $600 I think it was a pretty good deal. Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221204991484#ht_12439wt_1085. Any info is helpful. Thanks in advance.
