Scott Schuman is a professionial photographer in the same way that Rachael Ray is a professional chef.

Good point as well. I think... Could you localize the comparison for the European audience?

Never. But AE seconds are for owning, treeing, and rubbing with Saphir Renovateur, the Elixir of the Gods...not for wearing. Their most holy soles flit above the base Earth.

Back to the Panta longwing: if anyone can solve the unsightly creasing problem, it will be Ed. I might be going on a limb, but I see a spaghetti welt in the future of this longwing.

Hmmm. Let me try. Tell me if this analogy works:

Scott Schuman is a professionial photographer in the same way that the Dutch are 2010 FIFA World Cupâ„¢ champions.

Ouch. Thank you. He isn't that good though. The Hairy Bikers?

    [IMG] True.

There is definitely a talent, though, in making a living taking the same photograph over and over again. No one can take that away from him.

    I agree.

(I think the Hairy Bikers are great, btw. So that analogy goes limp too"”as we say in Dutch.)

I hate how it's a true 3-button with almost no roll to the 2nd button.

That's a pretty good example of jeans with a sport coat.

as much as I love the color cordination and looks of most of the Italians Sart posts, they, to a man, have the worse taste in jeans and casual shoes/sneakers that I have ever seen. Just horrible.

You're totally right about the jeans and shoes. (late 90s Levis "engineered" jeans?) I was just thinking about the casual corduroy jacket, which seems better with jeans than a tailored jacket even if it's tweed or fuzzy wool.

I'm waiting for the Panta longwing.

When it comes out, I will buy one in every hide and every color.

There will be only one hide, one colour and actually only one size.

That is only for the second phase of the business, you know, when ties are replaced with cotton OTC socks. Final phase will be the One Item Wardrobe.

If that is the case, I have a feeling that the label inside will look like this

This is the kind of mistake I see people making all the time; being bad does not stop someone from being an artist! He is clearly a professional photog cause he gets paid to take pictures, is presented as such by the cognoscenti and even has a published body of work (his artbook). Now I'm sure many could say stuff like "he's more of a trend-chaser/trend-setter/fash blogger" or whatever but that's criticism not an invalidation of status. A bad lawyer with his bar is still a lawyer, just don't pick him!

    Revised Vox quote:
"Scott Schuman is a professional photographer in the same way Jeffrey Archer is a writer."

Note: I make no comment as to my appreciation of the sartorialist, I hardly check the blog and certainly haven't given his work much thought. A good photog is someone like Guy Bourdin, even his polaroids kick ass:
