    Yes from BG.

You are right as most of the fashion suits are in the $4000 range....but, just like after F/W the ski patch velcro front jackets (in all sizes) were still around for $900. I now wish I would have got one; but, I'm wierd when it comes to great deals...I'll pay full price for nearly anything and then somehow talk myself out of something that is 75% off.

Tomorrow I'm going to wear it with the matching wool tie and then next Sat to the Anthony Goicolea reception I will wear the Swiss dot tulle tie. I tried it on before I picked it up and let me just say...Jebus Christ it is amazing. [IMG] And I'll probably putz around one day with just the pants and the polo.

I'm going to get the shoes next week probably. I don't have time to really make it down to Tribeca during the week and I'm out of town this weekend.

Stel's in Boston had a 75% warehouse sale today, doors opening at 10AM. I woke up late and made it by 11:30 or so, and the place was packed but there were still lots of men's items left. Unfortunately not too much that I wanted...some Opening Ceremony hoodies but those aren't my style. Nice APC Wool Trousers but the cut was oddly flowing. An APC blazer, only in size medium, and it fit too perfectly, super slim.

BUT I still hit the goldmine, with a Seize sur Vingt button-down and a Band of Outsiders button-down for $125 total. The Seize shirt has a 15" neck instead of my normal 15.5" but it's still fine, and the BoO shirt was an XL instead of a large, but nothing that the tailor couldn't fix.

    $2800
It is one of the "basics" that IF it does get marked down won't even be until July.
The other one I am tossing around is a black/white gingham seersucker that is $3300 but I feel will still be around end of May for 40% off.

I am glad I acted when I did. 2 days ago the basic suits were raised to $3400.

They can do it because um...they are the ones that set the prices.

what I mean is why would they do it all of the sudden and not set the price that high in the first place?

Could have been mismarked in the first place or seeing that it was having a strong sell-through they marked it up a bit more to see how it performs. Also, since it is the "classic" line they might not even mark it down which would account for it being the season's price increase and just happened to fall a week after I bought mine.

im gooing to try to be a cardigan next year during the fall sale
i think i asked this before...
is there a primetime where they are gone....
i mean are the mostly gone by the 40 percent or the 60 percent or they usually end up leaving around 75?

Really they just trickle out between the different mark downs...plus you also have Barneys to pick from.

I've decided next week when I get back I'm not buying the oxfords (my Ferragamos worked PERFECTLY with the suit and I wore them sockless all day and felt FINE) and am going to get a vneck waffle knit cashmere cardigan w/ 3 white arm stripes.

those Ferragamos did look good with the suit. Is that the cardigan that costs $3000? If so, it totally rules. It's just so much more than I can justify for a sweater, but I'll be jealous every time you post a pic wearing it [IMG] [IMG]
