Super old (supposedly WW2-ish) army surplus musette/gas mask bag. Thing is built like a motherfucking tank. Besides fading, some wear in the straps, and one pin sized hole in the bottom is is in perfect shape. Shit is just not made like like that anymore. It is awesome. Camera is fucked or i'd post some pics.

Margiela sale was a success! Items were 70% off wholesale today and the sale goes to tomorrow. The first pair of boots is like a smokey blueish blackish grey color

i am not sure. . . the suede boots i got retailed for 995; wholesale was 398 and it was ALL 70% off wholesale, so i got them for just a few cents under 120. Pretty unbelievable. Given that sneakers are generally less than 500, i would say less than $75. i would get there early tomorrow . . . stock was going pretty quick when i was there . . . i will stop by in the morning . . .what is your size? i can grab them if they have them and just PM you if i succeed. i live a few blocks from the sale so its quick for me.

There is really never any reason to pay retail for margiela if you live in NYC and can wait until May and November. The Staff showroom sales are always the best sales in the city imo. always current season for so cheap.

Not really. Indy bag is UK issue iirc. Mine is US. With how cheap these things are though, I might just have to start looking [IMG].

^Post a pic when you can. I really like the look of a lot of the surplus military bags, particularly the European ones.

The Indy bags aren't as cheap as they normally would be, although you can still find them readily enough. And of course there are several different makers of repro Indy bags. I've got a never-issued original, but I've never done anything with it. Maybe I'll get around to buying a leather strap for it one of these days.

I just bought this suit for $250 at the mmm sale. I have been staring at it for months now on thecorner.com contemplating the % drop from $2600 it would take before I would buy it. Awesome! [IMG] [IMG]

Went back to the MMM sale this morning and got a shirt. To everyone who PM'd, I read your PMs and looked for you, but it was slim pickings today unfortunately. Also went to Project No 8b and got a Stephan Schneide sweater and two pairs of pants. For what it is worth, they are MUCH cheaper than Opening Ceremony for SS - e.g. the pants were 295 or so at Pro8 and are over 400 at OC. The sweater cardigan on TresBien is 580 or so at OC and 476 at ProNo8. Project No 8b is a great little store, and they have their own in house line too . . . I cant recall the name, but it is quite nice and a very reasonable price point (and made in Brooklyn). Also, the staff at SS is quite nice and approachable; some of the nicer people I have met. I generally find it somewhat uncomfortable to talk to sales people at stores, especially with those who work on commission, but I dont have that issue at Project No 8b (or at Odin for that matter).

    MMM shirt (only 56 bucks!!)

SS Pant (also got a pair of black wool pants from SS as well)

SS sweater (I sized done on this as the sweater is meant to be oversized)

Now I have to start x-mas shopping
